Well the reunion was wonderful - can't believe how much the school has changed but lots is still the same - "Jock corner" - no doors on the girls washrooms and the kitchen in the caferteria.  It was neat to go through the school and remember the memories that went with it.  Thanks to everyone involved - hope that some pictures can be put up on this website.  Good Job everyone!!!

Even all these years later, I remember and appreciate the friendliness of students and staff at Mount Royal. One example: in the middle of a blizzard, I could not get my little blue and white Anglia out of a snowdrift. One of the Balon boys called several friends to my rescue. They each took a corner of the car and lifted it out of the drift into a passable trail. That was real Mount Royal Spirit!

Would love to have been able to attend Wendy and Grant's party.  Warmest wishes to my class of '63.  So pleased to have heard from so many of you.  I retired to Scotland over a decade ago, where we rarely need to shovel snow, and the golfing is first class.  Plan to see some of you when I visit Saskatoon in the springtime.

I am trying to register to attend the 50th Anniversary on behalf of my wife Corinne Smith and myself.Corinne was a member of the original staff at MR she left the school in June, 1963. I joined the staff at MR in September, 1962 and remained there at a staff member until June, 1974. Halcyon days for both of us. Through the years after 1963 until 1984 Corinne taught under a number of term contracts at a number of other school in Saskatoon. For her last 10 years she was at Walter Murray Collegiate, retiring from there in June, 1995. I remained "in service" at various SBE schools and in Central Office until retirement in June, 1994. We both have so many wonderful memories of MRCI, students , staff and parents. It has always been and will continue to be "our Collegiate". We know where a lot of the skeletons are buried and will be prepared to share some yarns at the reunion!! See you there - if we get registered!

I never attended Mount Royal but I was there before any student as I worked on the construction of the school back in 1969,  1970.  I am a retired electrician and I spent my final year of apprenticeship on the wiring of the school, got my journeymans license and finished the electrical job as the school opened.
It would be a pleasure to visit the school and see how it has stood up over the years.
